Remote Learning Changes

Lipan ISD makes changes to their remote learning options.

This letter will serve as official notice that out of the concern for student academic progress, Lipan ISD will cease serving students who have chosen remote distance learning. Research is clear that in-person, in-class learning is the best option for long-term academic success for students.

Because of this, after October 16th, there will be only two ways an individual student will be eligible for remote learning. First, the students are eligible to participate in remote distant learning if they have tested positive and are suffering from COVID-19; or are under quarantine orders from the Federal, State, or local officials with the authority to command such a quarantine. Second, remote instruction will be provided to individual students who have a medical condition that is substantiated by a doctor's note stating the specific reasoning behind your child's inability to attend school due to COVID-19 related issues, or other health conditions. If you believe the child qualifies for remote learning under one of these two conditions, please contact the campus administrator for your student, or students, at 254-646-2266.

All students who do not meet one of the above conditions, must report to their appropriate campus no later than 7:50 a.m. Monday, October 19th.

LISD will continue to keep safety a priority for our staff and students and will monitor any COVID-19 cases within our District that may come about. The district will also continue to require masks or shields, continue to clean thoroughly, multiple times per day and continue to require students to social distance where applicable. We will all continue to do OUR part.

Thank you for working with Lipan ISD during this unusual time. Please feel free to contact district administration if you have any questions.
